About a month ago, there was a news story that the same Rhode Island hospital was in trouble because in the past year, three different brain surgeons have performed BRAIN SURGERY on the wrong side of the brain in patients. Troublesome, no?

Not quite right. They made,or started to make, incisions on the wrong side of the skull - but never arrived at the brain. Still pretty bad.
A lot of newspapers gor this wrong, too. Probably because wrong side BRAIN surgery sells more papers than wrong side HEAD surgery.
brain surgery, head surgery... any surgeon should know which side they're working with before they start to cut!
