Continuing Education

I want to lean Latin. I don't know why, but I do. I also would love to take a another history class. Oh and math? That would be way fun. I am not sure if it is just the start of another school year or if it is the fact that I just miss learning, but I want to challenge my mind and feel smart again.

Now, do you think any of this is possible? If you answered yes, you would be wrong. Instead of living in Madison or the Cities, where evening classes are offered all the time, U.W. La Crosse seems to only like to have classes during the day. Sigh. And don't even get me started on Latin.

On a different note, the local tech school offers a photography night class that might be fun.

Overdue Books

Is it really worth it? Sure, the library was reimbursed their fines, but way to give the profession a bad name.

wikis

I cannot wait to get my hands dirty playing with a wiki. I have been toying around with the idea of creating a blog about my experience with local things. (This would "force" me to get out and explore). A blog would have worked fine. But,a wiki would be so much better. I would be able to organize topics better, restaurants, stores, nature, special events etc. I would also be able to edit the pages long after they are posted. The only thing stopping is finding a free wiki that would work.

15 minutes of fame

This past week, we had the kick off for Health-e People, a health literacy pilot program. I made it onto the news reel explaining something to a patient. My 15 minutes of fame should be about up.
